Sustainable New Towns and Transportation Planning; Reflection of A Case Study _ Crimson Publishers Sustainable New Towns and Transportation Planning; Reflection of A Case Study by Abdol Aziz Shahraki* in Advancements in Civil Engineering & Technology This paper discusses the link between sustainable development and transportation networks. The paper criticizes the current planning development ways, which exclude sufficient regional and urban traffic infrastructures. The paper aims to investigate the various effects of a regional corridor and on the new towns’ capacity to home increasing regional population. The paper analyses the obstacles that hinder the realization of the target to build sustainable new towns with the help of academic theoretical method and with the strategy of a case study. This paper builds a model of the transportation network to remedy the current failures. The model contributes to the new towns in similar situations in the world to become sustainable a...

Smart Built-Environments for People Living with Dementia _ Crimson Publishers Smart Built-Environments for People Living with Dementia by Tauseef Gulrez* in Advancements in Civil Engineering & Technology Ageing population is a world-wide rapidly growing phenomena [1,2]. Increased longevity is often associated with susceptibility to diseases which lead to cognitive or physical decline of human body. There are an estimated 47 million people worldwide living with dementia in 2015. According to a recent estimate, by 2035 the population of people living with dementia will double. With the current trends in population demographics, it is becoming increasingly difficult for governments worldwide to fully support the health and social care systems. One of a recent challenge for civil engineering is to create Dementia friendly communities and housing. https://crimsonpublishers.com/acet/fulltext/ACET.000516.php For more open access journals in Crimson Publishers ...

Fires on Buildings: A Needed Study - Crimson Publishers Fires on Buildings: A Needed Study by Cristiano Correa* in Advancements in Civil Engineering & Technology Fires on buildings (comercials, services, factories or residential) are extremely frequent all around the world. It is estimated this type of fire takes around one third (1/3) of all the recorded events. Figure 1 confirms this statement in a study made in thirty-nine (39) countries around the world [1]. The damages that derive from these fires are considerable, specially the economic losses in consequence of the interruption of activities or even productive chains, promoting the “run-out of jobs” [2], over the significant amount of money that are set for the rebuilding process of damaged or even destroyed structures [2,3]. https://crimsonpublishers.com/acet/fulltext/ACET.000515.php For more open access journals in Crimson Publishers please click on link: https://crimsonpublishers.com ...
