Technological Monitoring for Hardening and Strengthening of Cement-concrete Compositions_Crimson Publishers

Technological Monitoring for Hardening and Strengthening of Cement-concrete Compositions by Stackelberg DI in  Crimson publishers :  Open Journal of Civil Engineering The properties of Cement-Concrete Compositions (CCC) are in constant change during a hardening process. At initial stages of hardening, the CCC structure is characterized by viscous-plastic properties, while in final hardened structure, an artificial stone, elastic properties dominate. Technological parameters determined by those properties (W/C-ratio, slump, setting times, strength, etc.) mostly are incompatible with each other. This significantly complicates practical implementation of technological monitoring of CCC hardening and strengthening. https://crimsonpublishers.com/acet/fulltext/ACET.000548.php For more open access journals in   Crimson Publishers   please click on the link   https://crimsonpublishersresearch.com/ For more articles in  Open Journal of Civil Enginee...

Hoping to Stop Covering the Sky with One’s Palm: It’s Time to Go Back to Vernacular Spirit_Crimson Publishers

Hoping to Stop Covering the Sky with One’s Palm: It’s Time to Go Back to Vernacular Spirit by Eunjoo Lee in Crimson publishers : Open Journal of Civil Engineering There is an old saying in my country, ‘covering the sky with one’s palm’. It refers to when someone is pretending to avoid something unavoidable in vain. It can also be referred to as trying to avoid the cry of the earth under powerful and efficient air conditioner inside a brilliant glass building but modern society can’t go back to what it was before the industrialization. Eventually modern human society should do something more meaningful for our survival. For instance, as adopting the merit of hunter-gatherer’s life, it is imperative that modern architecture industrially succeed to the architectural assets initiated from prehistoric wisdom. That is, to utilize developed modern architectural technology to interpret and apply the advantages of the vernacular spirit out of the architecture from the past. This needs to ...

Predicting Variation on Void Ratio Deposition Influenced by Hydraulic Conductivity and Porosity Impact in Heterogeneous Silty and Peat Soil Formation_Crimson Publishers

Predicting Variation on Void Ratio Deposition Influenced by Hydraulic Conductivity and Porosity Impact in Heterogeneous Silty and Peat Soil Formation by Eluozo SN in Crimson publishers : Open Journal of Civil Engineering The study predicts the variation of void ratios on hydraulic conductivity and porosity impact for silty and peat sand deposition. The rate conductivity and porosity were considered in the system to predominantly pressure the deposition of void ratio on silty and peat sand formation, such structural deposition experienced predominant heterogeneity in the study location, the deposition reflected unconsolidated deposition that should be evaluated in fundamental analysis of engineering properties of soil for design of foundation, these condition made the study imperative, several experts may always apply the conventional system to generate parameters for void ratio, but the compressive analysis in most time are not gotten, but the analytical techniques applied were a...
